Today is the second day of Rosh Chodesh Elul 5785 and I am memorializing it in this post. A burst of energy marked my entire day. I love Elul! I have hope and enthusiasm, but not unrealistic hope that's actually fantasy. No. I am asking Hashem for realistic hope, just the right amount of hope that will work to bring about His purposes in and for me.
Hashem's hope is unlimited, but I can get carried away with it in my human enthusiasm. I am asking Hashem for just the right amount of hope, at the right time, in the right way. Life experience has shown me the wisdom of this humble request, especially on Rosh Chodesh Elul.
I am looking forward to creating a little Beit Midrash and sharing my love of Torah learning with local Jews, as well as continuing to meet with my study partners online. This is one example of a plan and a project in which I have great hope. And I have many more!
